As part of its continuing commitment to the training and development of teachers in Nigeria the Britain-Nigeria Educational Trust is supporting another intake of 37 teachers,

one selected from every State throughout the Federation, enrolled on the Distance Learning Programme run by the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna. The Trust will fund their course fees for the next 3 years amounting to an investment of £20,000. This brings the total number of teachers who will have benefited through the Tafawa Balewa Teacher Award Scheme since BNET set it up in 2007 to 221.
