Daily Delight School Excursion to the Central Bank of Nigeria
It was an exciting and educational experience for our pupils as they embarked on an excursion to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Tinubu Square, Lagos Island, on Thursday 26th March 2026, as part of our school’s effort to expose learners to important national institutions.
The visit took place in a well-organized and safe environment, and the pupils were warmly received by the staff of the bank.
The pupils were warmly received by the members of CBN staff and the children were hosted at the Conference hall on the 14th floor of the CBN building, where they had the opportunity to see the beautiful view of Lagos from above. The pupils were very happy and amazed to be inside such a great and important building.
During the visit, the pupils were taught about the vision and mission of the Central Bank, and they learned why the bank is very important to the country. The officers also showed them the past governors of the bank, explaining the role each of them played in the development of Nigeria’s economy.
The children were further enlightened on the duties of the Central Bank, such as keeping the nation’s money safe, controlling the flow of money in the country, and making policies that help the economy to grow. The session was very interactive, and the pupils asked questions which were patiently answered by the officials.
The excursion was both educative and inspiring, as the pupils learned many new things outside the classroom. They returned to school happy, excited, and more knowledgeable about how the country’s financial system works.
We sincerely appreciate the management and staff of the Central Bank for their warm reception and for taking time to educate our pupils. We also thank the school management and our teachers, for organizing such a wonderful and impactful excursion.
