BNET SCHOLARSHIP

We received with deep sense of gratitude for the third year scholarship for 15 children from BNET which enabled not only the children who may not have been able to conveniently meet the demands of tuition and other demands of schooling go through this academic session with ease but also enabled the school achieve most of its objectives for the academic session.

UPDATE ON ACTIVITIES

EMPLOYMENT OF NEW TEACHERS: Two additional new graduate teachers have been engaged to replace the National certificate and student teacher who had to go back to school.

INTRODUCTION OF COMPUTER APPRECIATION CLASSES: Practical computer appreciation classes started for the children in upper primary school but this is limited by the use of just one laptop owned by the school.

COLOUR GREEN DAY/ ANIMAL DAY: The colour Green day/ Animal day was celebrated on Tuesday,20th of May 2025.The children brought fruits that are green in colour, the Proprietress talked on the concept of colour green and what green stands for , the children were taught the colour combination of colour green which is (blue+ yellow=green ), the children were taught the benefit of each fruit that was brought.

CHILDREN’S DAY: The children celebrated the children’s day on Monday 26th of May in high spirits with song renditions like “Order my steps by the children—–“They had a lot other things they presented like Acronym of children, dancing competition and lots more, the children had a lot of fun and a light refreshment was given to them by the management.

Open Day

OPEN DAY: Thursday 12th of June 2025 marked this term’s open day; parents interacted with class teachers on how to get the best out of their ward(s) we trust that the opportunities provided to share in the children’s learning experiences was helpful. We appreciate all our parents who were in attendance.

ART WEEK: The Art Week took place on Monday 23rd – Friday 27th of June, 2025

Monday : Water play (Importance of water & uses of water), Tuesday: Out door games (puzzles ,ludo, chess)

Wednesday: paperwork (paper collage)

Thursday: A- day with grandma, Mrs. Akindolie Isaac Ademo’s grandmother) was welcome by the children happily, she sat in the midst of the children, she told them stories and sang songs to them also taught them songs (Pictures )

Friday: The children were taught how to weave mat and cloth by the art teacher Mr. Wale

PRESCHOOL & PRIMARY SCHOOL GRADUATION: The Graduation ceremony was held on Wednesday July 23rd with 5 pupils graduating.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE NEW SESSION:

• 1. Interschool competitions
• 2. French classes
• 3. Chess and media Clubs
• 4. Vocational subjects (practical)
• 5. Jersey Day
• 6. Excursion

PRAISE REPORT: The majority of the children are doing very well academically and we are confident they can compete nationally with other children from bigger and older schools. They mostly excel in spelling bees and quizzes.

We look back at the past 3 years of BNET intervention and can only imagine where we would have been as an institution and we look at the years ahead and can only imagine how far the children that have been benefiting from the scholarship would have gone and can only say thank you and God bless BNET and all the families involved in contributing to this worthy course.
